I'm a slacker

Where to begin???

Back at the end of July, I was able to go and receive my patriarchal blessing, it was such an awesome experience, I'm glad that I finally did it. That was on the Sunday that my parents decided they were leaving for Yellowstone on, and wanted to get as far as they possibly could that night after my blessing. I went with them, so that a) I could spend more time with Tim and b) so I could spend more time with Tim :). Plus I was able to be there and help him pack up his room and transfer his items over to my cousin Cherise's place. Which we did the day before and the same day we left for Yellowstone. It was a very nice drive to Yellowstone, but required me bobby pinning all my hair down, at that point I was able to pull my hair into a pony tail and it would stay, add wind (Tim's truck has no a/c) and it's completely falls out, and which person likes hair hitting them in their face constantly? Once we got to Yellowstone, we found my family all near Old Faithful, getting their daily ration of Ice Cream :) (This was an occurrence everyday around 3 p.m.) Once everyone was finished with Ice Cream, Water bottle filling, and bathroom trips, we head out to see the rest of the geysers and boy was that fun :) lots of walking, but it felt like a breeze and was so very nice to spend time with most of my family again. Tim and I split off from the group for a while when we saw that Old Faithful was getting ready to erupt and also was able to see the Beehive geyser erupt nearly at the same time :) Once we were done with that we continued on and caught up with my family to see the other geysers. The other days we saw all that Yellowstone had to offer minus the paint pots (because the family had already gone and seen them, the day before we got there), this involved lots of walking and water consumption as well, but I loved it, especially since my knee (that seems to always bug me at the wrong times) wasn't hurting at all and didn't the whole time we were there :). We left on Sunday and headed back to my house. We unloaded and commenced in washing of our clothing that definitely wasn't the cleanest or best smelling :(.

The next day Tim loaded his truck back up and headed home to spend a couple weeks with his family, while I worked on some wedding plans with my mom and job seeking as well.

The day before Tim got back I received two phone calls to set up job interviews. When he was back I headed back with him and spent the next four days in Rexburg, hanging out with my cousin Cherise and her husband Karl, when we weren't busy (Tim) with work or job interviews.

When we got back we had the pleasure to watch my sister Elizabeth's kids for the weekend. Elizabeth went down to Utah with a couple friends and my brother-in-law Joe went to McCall for a scout function with my dad. Over all we had fun playing with the kids and trying to keep them entertained. We even took them out for ice cream to celebrate JJ's birthday, that was on Friday the 14th. On Sunday the 16th we went to church with my mom and the kids, it was a little weird having three kids to watch at church. Added to my parents ward being right during the kids naps and only Emily survived Sacrament meeting without falling asleep. A lot of the people in my parents ward thought that the kids were mine and Tim's, some knew otherwise realizing I only left that ward two years earlier, so chance of me having three kids were pretty slim, especially considering the oldest was 4. But I was asked during Relief Society if Tim was my husband and I told them otherwise. That evening everyone in my family came over to my parents, like they always do and we celebrated JJ's birthday, complete with his own cake and lots of presents.

Then Tim and I headed back to Rexburg, where we again spent the next couple weeks there, playing with Cherise and Karl and getting in those last few rays of the summer sun before school would start.

Then we went back to Boise for a weekend and tried to get some wedding planning done together, on the way there Tim's truck broke down which caused some of the plans we had made to go on the back burner. We didn't make it into Boise until the next day when my dad came and rescued us with a tow dolly, so that we could get Tim's truck to Boise without spending a ton of money to tow it. We were very thankful that Karl had family willing to put us up for the night and that my dad was willing to come get us from Twin Falls. Saturday I went with my mom, my sister Elizabeth, and her kids to Jo-anns, where we looked at patterns for dresses to make for the Bridesmaids and the little girls. We found the pattern and fabric for the little girls' dresses and a couple patterns we liked for the bridesmaids. Sunday it was back to Rexburg for the next week which was spent playing with one of my friends that lived in Rexburg during the summer.

Then we came went back to Boise Labor day weekend and spent most of the time with his sisters at their grandparents place, we did venture out to Jo-anns to look at dress patterns again (my mom had tried our original one and the dress wasn't working for her). Sunday night we had dinner over at Elizabeth's and Joe's, in which we played a card game afterwards. It was very fun, then Tim and I went back home, Tim slept for a little while and I sewed together a pair of pajama pants and then we left for Rexburg at 3 a.m. I slept the best I could in the car. We arrived in Rexburg, with enough time for Tim to shower before heading to work. I slept for a little longer and then woke up and hung out with my cousin until Tim was off work and then we loaded up my car with some of Tim's things and took it over to his apartment, and continued until we were done. Then we hung out together, we ended up at his sister Brittany's apartment and watched some T.V. before leaving to go bed.

We spent the next few days in Rexburg and then went back to Boise on Friday, hoping that Tim's truck was fixed, but alas when we were half way there we found out it wasn't but continued on our way to Boise. I spent the next day helping my mom with the little girls' dresses best I could. That weekend we found out that my mom got a job offer for a job out in Pennsylvania, which mom had excepted. That Sunday we went to church with my parents again, not realizing until the day before that my branch had stake conference. After church and dinner, Tim and I headed back to Rexburg, where I stayed with my brother Jared's Girlfriend Caci's sister. It was fun to spend time with them and to get to know them.

Then on Friday we went back to Boise having got the notice that Tim's truck would be fix by Saturday from his uncle Randy who graciously fixed the truck for Tim. On Saturday Tim and I ran a few errands before heading to pick up his truck. Then Sunday after church and dinner again Tim went back to Rexburg.

While Tim has been busy with school and work, I've been busy sewing with my mom and had to again figure out what we were going to do for the Bridesmaid's outfits (the second dress decided to ripped on us, because the fabric frayed too easily). We decide on a skirt and jacket combo, using up the already purchased fabric for the jackets, and then after the Relief Society Broadcast we went to Jo-anns again and bought some fabric for the skirts. That Sunday after church, I hung out with my family and must say it was very nice not having someone leave to go to Rexburg. That night Elizabeth's kids, Emily, Madison, and JJ stayed the night. The next day mom and I were busy at cutting out fabric for the skirts while also entertaining the kids. Then when Elizabeth got there she cut out some fabric for one of the Jackets. Mom was busy sewing the skirts and that jacket, I even helped and sewed two of the skirts together as far as mom gave me instructions too. We're still not all the way done with the skirts and jackets but we're at least half way there and that's good enough for me. :)

Conference weekend I came back up to Rexburg for a job interview today the 5th of October and I must say that was very enjoyable. I also came up for Tim's birthday that's not until Wednesday I'll do my best to post about our activities from that day.

Also I can't believe how fast the time is flying by. Tim and I will be getting married in 3 months and I know the time is going to just fly by again and I'm hoping at this point that we'll get everything put together in time. We thankfully have lots of people willing to help, which is such a huge blessing, especially with my parents moving to P.A. with in this next month at least my mom. The biggest help has been from Elizabeth and Joe, I'm grateful I have them in my life they are absolutely wonderful and I don't know how to thank them enough. Plus I have my other two brothers that live here and a sister-in-law who are a great help to, when their busy schedule allows them. I have a great family, who's so amazing and helpful I don't know how I was so blessed to have them in my life.
