I know I'm way late on this but life has been busy!
Father's Day this year wasn't too exciting. Kenneth didn't sleep the best for us and so we had a rough morning. We did manage to get dressed and to church earlier then we have in the past. (working really hard to accomplish that) Church was really good. Afterwards we went home and Kenneth and I gave Tim his present. He received two Angry Birds shirts. Anyone who knows Tim knows he can get obsessed by it. :) Plus we'll be able to get rid of some of his shirts that don't fit him so well anymore.
After that we put Kenneth down for a nap and we enjoyed our time together. Tim made us steaks, because he always grills when we grill our food. :) Our friends Mike and Kenna Adams came over and we enjoyed talking with them and just having a good time.
I'm so thankful that I have a great husband that is such a good dad to Kenneth. He is good about taking care of Kenneth when he gets home from school and work so that I can have a little bit of a break before getting him ready for bed. He's always good about playing with him and makes up silly songs. Whenever Kenneth and I leave and come back Kenneth always has a big smile for his daddy. Tim has also be great lately about giving Kenneth his morning bottle so that I can sleep longer. I appreciate that so very much!
I'm also thankful for a great dad who has taught me so many things. I love my daddy so much and love that I have been able to do so many great things with him. He's the main reason I did a lot of the things I did during my teenage years. Like do all those boy scout things. :) I wouldn't trade it for one second. He's also a great grandpa to my son and nieces and nephews. They all love him so much. Whenever I'm on the phone with my dad, if Kenneth is awake he'll smile really big when he hears grandpa's voice. :) Plus he follows dad around when we're visiting and gets upset if he leaves him.
I'm thankful for Tim's dad that has taught him to be the man he is. His dad always had Tim work with his hands and do yard work. I know right now we don't have a yard to worry about, but when we do Tim will be able to do those things that it needs to look nice. :) Tim's dad also taught him to work with tools and because of this Tim has lots of tools. (nowhere near the amount my dad has.) These tools aren't aloud to be put away into storage because he might need them. As much as this drives me bonkers I'm glad that he's able to actually use them. :) I'm also grateful that Tim's dad is able to talk and listen to Tim when no one else in his family will.
