Accepting Influence

Being willing to Accept Influence from our spouse seems pretty simple. Accepting influence means counseling with and listening to one's spouse, respecting and considering his or her opinions as valid as one's own, and compromising when making decisions together.

This method works best when both male and females work together and accept influence from one another. Studies done have shown that men have a harder time accepting influence than woman.

In order to accept influence we can turn to our spouse for advice, being open to their ideas, showing trust to their ideas and vocalizing when we have a concern.
