My birthday/Memorial day

My Birthday this year was on Memorial day!!!! The evening before my parents and I ended up talking until midnight and so my mom decided to then give me my birthday present from them, which is a beautiful necklace with matching earrings. After that I continued talking with Jared my little brother for a couple hours and then went to sleep.

That morning I woke up to a text of "Good Morning Birthday Girl, best get up and get ready for the day. I love you!" from Tim. So I did get out of bed and went into my parents room to check and see if my mom was still there because she was on-call for the day. Luckily mom was still there and so I talked with her for a little bit and then decided that since I didn't know how quickly Tim would be over that I would go shower.

After the shower, getting dressed, and ready I was starving so I ate a pancake that my dad had made, normally I don't eat them at all but this day I actually did maybe because he made them different from the way he normally does. When I was almost done Tim had arrived and he was surprised that I was already eating. He had planned to take me out to breakfast but I didn't know this considering he told me nothing of what was going on that day. Luckily I was still starving that pancake just didn't hit the spot. So after giving me my birthday present (a earring holder, something I've be wanting forever and he actually made it) we went to IHOP and ate breakfast, I ordered something small since I knew that the pancake would be expanding.

After IHOP we went to Fred Meyer's so that Tim could pick up a couple items for his sister. Once we were done at Fred Meyer's we headed back to my house, once there Tim gave me a baker's dozen of red roses :) saying that he would love me until the last one died (two weeks later all but one are alive). I love this man!!! After that we just relaxed for about a 1/2 hour watching a t.v. show. Then we headed out to the next activity which was Blacklight miniature golf, it was so much fun, even though I didn't do the best, my sister ended up calling on hole 3 and we talked until hole 12, mini golfing with one arm and a purse not so easy. But she was calling to wish me a Happy Birthday which was nice of her to do!!! (she was actually my only sibling to wish me one) Once we got at the end of mini golfing I won on the last hole and won a pass for buy one get one free!!!!

Afterwards we went to Big lots and walked around looking at all the random things in there and then we went down to his grandparents to give his sister the items he picked up for her. Then Tim made a picnic lunch, we headed to Zurchers to buy somethings for my party that was later that night hosted by a friend, and then went over to Craft Warehouse to look at a couple other things.

Then we went to Story Park in Meridian and ate our lunch and then we ended up falling asleep for a little bit. Once we woke up we decided we best head out to my house to get ready for the party and then head on over to it.

So we did, once we got to the party I was given birthday wishes by all and my friend RaeAnn gave me her birthday present she made me which was yet another necklace and matching earrings (funny thing is the pendant she used for it is one I had told her earlier that I liked). During this time we spent lots of time talking to everyone and once Brooke arrived she gave me her present, which was an awesome picture frame with a picture of her and me in it and then a letter she wrote for me as well :) We all continued talking and once dinner was ready we ate and then they sang to me and we had birthday cake.

After we continued socializing and after a while decided to hit the pinata that Tim and I had purchased earlier that day. I ended up being the only one who hit it because no one else wanted to. After that we took some group pictures together and then some of us (including me) decided to swing on the swing set that was there and others decide to make a human pyramid (this worked fine at first, but once they decided to include some of the girls it didn't go so well, Tim was injured with a shot to his stomach). After a while Tim and I decided to leave and head back to my place so that he could get back to his grandparents and sleep well.

Once we got to my street, I was a little sad because I didn't want Tim to leave just yet, well he drove right past my house and at first I didn't think anything of it since he normally turns around to park in front of it. After about 10 seconds we were at the other side of the street and I asked where we were going and got no response. He turned left and after a couple minutes we ended up at a park, that's in my neighborhood. I was again wondering what we were doing and all he would tell me is to head over to the swings. So I did and started swing a little bit, he after about a couple more minutes came over and sat in the swing next to me. I asked what are we doing here (knowing that if a cop came by we might get into trouble) he said he just wanted to swing under the stars with me! After he swung for a couple minutes he got off, turned around and came over to me and stopped my swinging. He then leaned in and said "Rachel, do you know that I love you?" which I responded "Yes, I know you love me and I love you too." Then he got down onto one knee and pulled out an open ring box and asked "Rachel Elise Mefford will you marry me?" which I without a moments hesitation said "YES!" We then kissed and after wards he showed me the ring and slipped it on my finger!!! After wards we headed back to my house to show it to my parents and so I could see it better in lighting!!! I'm so happy, I love Tim so much and I can't believe still that I found someone so fantastic and wonderful that wants to marry me!!! We're getting married January 5th 2010, pretty sure it will be the best way to start out the new year!!! I'm so thankful that I've been privilege to have found him, I can't stop thinking that!!!!
