Qwest, sewing, and crochet

On the 1st of October, Tim and I decided that it was going to be my last day at Qwest. I was having terrible numbers at work and with it being a sales based job, even though it is called customer service, to customers, Things weren't looking good for me. The day before my coach was spending a lot of time listening to my calls, and surprise, surprise, it didn't give me any more sales then I'd been getting previously. I was on a warning of dismissal and having previously been let go from Citi cards wasn't wanting another job let me go either, even with me doing my best. So after crying a lot that day and talking with a couple friends and their coach, I talked to Tim and we settled on that decision of just going through until the end of the week. As soon as we made that decision I felt so much better and a lot happier for the rest of the day and the next day too.

It's been an interesting month but I've been able to keep busy, with crocheting and sewing blankets. I working on finishing one I started at the beginning of the Summer for Tim and me, and have started sewing a blanket for Tim's sister that she bought fabric for and cut out, and I'm just in charged of the sewing aspect, it's more difficult of a pattern then I've sewn before, but thus far it's working. I also have some baby blankets that I'm working on finishing up, I used extra fabric from pj pants for the tops, I just have to get the fabric for the bottoms to finish them up.

As for the crocheting I finally finished my first blanket and project. It took a good three to four months from start to finish but I feel good about finishing it finally. I'm going to be attempting some other crocheting projects now, from patterns, and that should be interesting considering the first one I made up the entire thing. and for each thing I just have to keep remembering practice makes perfect and hopefully I'll eventually get faster too.
