So Tim and I decided that this year we're going to try and make our marriage and lives together better. Part of doing that is making goals of things we need to work on. Some we still haven't gotten started yet but have every intention to start soon.
Reading our scriptures together and individually everyday.
Praying together and individually everyday, especially when we eat our meals.
Attend the Temple together once a month (Ward temple night doesn't count)
Eat less Junk Food
Getting all homework accomplished before watching T.V. or playing video games
Read more books instead of watching T.V. when we're not in school
Tim teaching Rachel Portuguese
Have Family Home Evening together.
Make effort to get and know more people in our Ward
Get A's and B's in all our classes (preferably all A's)
Like I said some of these things we've started already and were doing some last year but need to re-enforce it into our lives. Getting our homework done is huge, after all that is the entire reason we're here in Rexburg spending our first years of marriage together. For me I want to read a 100+ novels and the only way I'll do that is not watch T.V. For some reason T.V. seems more interesting to me then reading a book even though I love most books I read. I want to learn Portuguese so that way when Tim and I have kids we can hopefully teach them Portuguese and English too. Plus with my little brother and Tim's already knowing it too I'll be able to talk to them and hopefully all four of us can do it enough to actually utilize it.
There is one more thing that the two of us need to do and we haven't yet started and that is to exercise 3 days a week at least. I do walk around on campus and then walk home uphill and then downhill after school. But once I get use to doing that I'll need to add something else into my routine to hopefully get back into a better healthier shape and feel better about myself too. Tim needs to do it too for the same reasons.
