Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day weekend we kept up our tradition and went to Boise. We rode over Friday afternoon with Tim's sister Brittany. It was a good trip and we didn't make it into Boise until about 9 which was prefect time to eat and talk for a little bit before heading to bed.
Saturday morning after everyone had breakfast and showered the girls headed out shopping, Tim's mom and other sister Kendra had come over from Vancouver. It was a fun shopping trip, Tim's mom bought some clothes as part of my birthday present which I was very thankful for. Once we got back from shopping we all ate something, and then I went with Brittany and Kendra over to my sister's. Brittany had an assignment for one of her classes that she had to do with a 5 year old and since Elizabeth's oldest is 5 it was prefect. Emily did very well with what she had to do, we then talked for a little bit, while Brittany and Kendra held Asher. They then left and while Liz made dinner, I painted Emily and Maddie's nails. Tim arrived half way through dinner, to which JJ was very happy, he loves his uncle Tim. After dinner Liz and I made some dessert that took a very long time to make and the boys (Joe, Dad, and Tim) went to the store. We spent most of the night just talking together after the dessert was finally made and had a good time.
Sunday, Tim and I woke up and got ready and headed out to Meridian, to go to church with my family. It was good, and after lunch we all ended up taking a nap. Dad, Tim, and I made dinner, while Elizabeth made dessert. Dinner was so delicious, Dad made fried chicken and with it we had mashed potatoes, green beans, and macarroni salad. It fulfilled the craving I had been having for so long for my dad's fried chicken, Tim watched dad make it so that he can make it sometime for me. After dinner we played with the kids until we had dessert which was some yummy cupcakes that Liz made for my birthday so they sang to me as well. We left afterwards so that we could spend more time with Tim's family. Which was spent watching some movie on t.v and talking together.
Monday after we had breakfast we packed and shortly headed back to Rexburg. It was again a nice drive back and Tim and I enjoyed the rest of the evening together before heading to bed.

I love spending time with my family and am thankful that some of my family lives close enough for us to visit with :)
