Internship

My internship is over and a couple weeks ago I turned my last assignment in.

I really enjoyed my internship at the Idaho Youth Ranch. It was so good to have something to do four days a week, while waiting on Thomas to make his arrival. I felt a good connection with the kids that were there and with the staff members as well. It's amazing to me how quickly it went by too.

I started April 22nd and ended June 4th. Originally I was planning to go until June 6th, but with Thomas making his arrival sooner than we had been thinking he would I brought him with me for my last two days to get my hours in that was required for that week.

After it was over I had two assignments to work on the first was due a week after my internship ended on that Saturday. I got it in the Monday after that. The professor over internships understood that it took me longer having a newborn and all.

Something I have figured out having done this is that I want to work with kids in whatever I do for a career. I know it will be a while before I actively start pursuing a job or a master's degree.

In the future depending on where we end up. I wouldn't mind working with the Idaho Youth Ranch again. I know I wouldn't mind becoming a counselor and helping people out either. But for now I plan to stay home with my boys and enjoy them.
