Our Valentines 2011

This year for valentines we split up the presents we bought each other over a matter of days. Saturday night after being over at our friend's the Dennetts and Lindsey telling us that she'd already given her husband his present. Tim decided he couldn't wait any longer. So when we got home i had to play that game hot/cold until I found my present, it was between our mattress and boxspring. It was Professor Layton and the Unknown Future for Nintendo DS. I was happy, yet not excited, see I didn't have a Nintendo DS yet. We were planning on spoiling ourselves a little and getting one for me and a PSP for him with our tax returns, which had come the day before and I knew Tim was planning on ordering them off the Internet. I hid Tim's first present under his pillowcase so that he would find it when he laid down. it was a box of sweethearts.

Sunday after church, Tim made crepes for dinner, he wanted to make us something romanticish for dinner. They were delicious! after dinner he asked me if I wanted to play hot/cold again, I was a little confused not realizing it was the game we had played the night before to find my present. Once I figured it out though I was all to eager to look. I then found my next present out in Tim's 4runner, which was a Nintendo DS, hot pink just like I had secretly wanted but would've taken another color that was cheaper. I was so excited I've been wanting one since my last birthday, but wanted the present I got just as bad. Tim's next present I hid in the same spot which apparently works great because he doesn't realize it's there until he's going to bed. :) It was a box of Dots which he loves.

Monday, actual Valentines Day, I was at school from 8-4:15 after which I took a test so technically I was there until about 5:15 when Tim came and picked me up. I'd like to point out that I received an A on that test :) (just a little proud). We went out to dinner that night to wingers which was yummy like always, minus the popcorn making me sick. :( After dinner we went to Wal-mart and got a case for my Nintendo DS and a couple other present that neither one of us saw from each other. We came home and I put out the rest of his presents, a video game Spores, a blu-ray movie the Last Starfighter, and a bag of Reese's heart shaped candy. we watched the A-team together, Tim fell asleep and I worked on homework, not romantic I know, but I had an assignment due, that I had forgotten about until that day.

Tuesday morning I woke up and found my last present that Tim had hidden in my pillow, the reason I didn't find it the night before was mostly caused by him putting it right next to the mattress and plus I sleep with two very poofy pillows. Tuesday evening we went and did some grocery shopping and got 50% of candies for each other and there was lots and lots. Next year I might just wait to get any candy until afterwards.

All in All it was such a fun weekend and I'm okay that it lasted 4 days for us, because after all we don't always need a reason to spoil each other, but it's nice to have an excuse. Plus Tim is no longer working graveyard, so we now get to enjoy the evenings with each other!!!!! :) and yes I failed at taking pictures, I'll try for my next post.
