Mother's Day Weekend

Our Mother's Day weekend was great. Friday I spent the day baby-sitting a cute little girl and hanging out with a friend afterwards. Then once Tim got home from school we spent the rest of the day together. Which was lots of fun. That night he took me out to a local burger joint Sammy's and instead of getting it to go like we usually end up doing we just stayed in and ate. It was interesting experience they had a band there playing so we couldn't really hear each other, plus the singer was more screaming into the microphone then actually singing. After we were don't eating, we left and walked around the 3 blocks that is downtown Rexburg. It was still lots of fun just walking and talking together, in nice weather. The last time we had walked downtown was went we lived a block from it, and it was the middle of winter so not exactly a leisure walk. I think I would like to do it again sometime with him, because it was just so much fun. afterwards we went back home and watched the Office together, before heading to bed.

Saturday was a great day as well. It started out with me going with my friend Lindsey to get our bountiful baskets, we're very excited to have all the fresh fruit and veggies at such a good price, I even cut some of the fruit up and place it in the freezer so I can start making smoothies for breakfast. :) after picking those up, Lindsey and I headed to our Relief Society activity where we did yoga and then ate some yummy fresh fruit with some dip, while talking. Afterwards Lindsey and I went and changed out of our yoga attire and after getting something light to eat went to our friend's baby-shower while Tim and Jonathan (Lindsey's husband) went fishing. Once we were done at the baby shower we went back to Lindsey's and I helped her sew a skirt she's making and we got a lot done on it. While doing that the boys worked on Lindsey's Mother's Day present so it was a great way to keep us busy and the boys busy as well. Once we were both tired of that we split up for a little bit and later that evening went out to dinner at a Thai restaurant here in town. It was yummy! We originally were going to go see Thor but it sold out about when we were five people from the front. So instead we went and rented Yogi Bear and watched it at Jonathan and Lindsey's. Tim and I only made it half-way through the movie before falling asleep, but it was okay since we had already seen it before.

Sunday started out as a great day, Tim let me sleep in, but did come in to ask me what I wanted for breakfast, and then told me to go back to sleep. After I did wake up, I was good and stayed in bed because I knew he wanted to bring me breakfast in bed and the last time he tried to do it I got out of bed before he was done and he was sad. He made me crepes and they were very yummy and he made them very pretty so he said I had to take a picture of them. ;)
The yummy crepes, one is mixed berry yogurt with blueberries, strawberries, and bananas. The other nutella and bananas.
Afterwards I got ready for church and we went to church which was very good. After church I got to talk with my little brother on Skype, along with Dean and Amanda's Family, Joe, and Mom and Dad. Tim even talked with Jared for a little bit in Portuguese. Then once we were done with that, I called my Mom and talked to just her for a little bit. Then we ate dinner, Tim made us Fried Chicken and Mash Potatoes with gravy, it was very yummy, and being an Idaho girl I was craving some potatoes today. :) After that Tim and I just spent the rest of the day enjoying time together. He did talk to his mom for a little bit, but not very long since they had talked the week before.

I'm very grateful for the awesome Mom I was privileged to be born to, she was such a good example to me and I know Tim feels the same way about his Mom. This year Tim decided to take me out on a the dates we went on Friday and Saturday, instead of buying a present, especially since my birthday is in 17 days and he always spoils me that day. :)
