This last semester I took a foods class, along with lecture we had a lab where we actually made food. Our last lab that we made something in lab we made different cake. I was the one who got the ingredients for the cake, while my partner did some prep work. During the baking the cake was taking forever and we even had to turn it up a couple times and it still took a long time. when we finally got a for to come out clean and took out the cake we noticed it was a little flat. We weren't sure what went wrong, I looked over the ingredient list, and I was pretty sure I had gotten them all. Then after thinking about it for a little bit I realized that I had forgotten the Baking Soda and Powder. I remember looking at the other people in my class measuring out those ingredients and saying to myself I'll get those later, but apparently my brain was either fried from all the studying I'd been doing or really tried, or even both. I felt really embarrassed, I don't ever remember doing something like that before in all my years of cooking at that's been since I was 9. Luckily my partner Ashley and I get along really well and had a great laugh about it, and our teacher knew that wasn't like us at all, was laughing right along with us. :)
