Last weekend what Tim and I did for fun, was our birth class. It was great, not at all pushy towards which method you needed to choose, and shared some great relaxation techniques that I hope Tim and I remember when the time comes. The instructor was definitely more for you going natural, but was all about choosing what method is best for you and your baby. That's comforting, I feel that to many people try to say you have to do it this way or that way.
I'm planning to go as natural as possible, I don't want any type of pain medications unless I say so near the end and even at that point if it's to late for the "good" stuff I'm all for that! Tim decided that after the class he doesn't want me having an epidural, his reasoning is hilarious, to me at least. When he told me that I just looked at him and said that's nice honey but if I decide to have one I'll get one. :) Even though I really would rather not.
On Monday I also had another doctor's appointment and found out Kenneth is head down! He better stay that way! If he doesn't, I plan on us trying some techniques to get him to switch back so I can do a vaginal birth and not a c-section. I'm really not wanting one of those! I'm planning to go back to school next semester which starts 5 days after I'm due. (will be defering if I'm not ready to go back) But I know I'd recover quicker if I do a vaginal birth vs. a C-section. Plus I'm not sure how much help I'll have, besides Tim, who will still have to work after we have the baby, since he doesn't get any paid time off. All my friends are either moving away are will be busy for school. So I'd feel silly asking any of them for help if I did have one. I do realize that they are sometimes medically necessary and in that instance I'd be okay with getting one, but don't want one out of convenience to me or my doctor!
Today I only have 6 weeks left! I really can't believe that our little guy will be here that soon, that seems so close but really far away as well. I don't feel very prepared for our baby to be here. Mostly because we don't have his room ready for him to be in it or any of the big item stuff here either. We will after next week but until that happens I won't feel ready for our baby boy to be here!
