Voting

Yesterday Tim and I went to vote. We took Kenneth along and although it took a while to wait in line it really wasn't that bad. I'm so grateful for the chance to vote for our President. It's interesting to look at the results and how everyone reacts. It's very clear that majority of my friends believe the same things that we do and value those things. I look at these next four years and realize that I need to do everything I can to help myself and my family. In the long run Tim and I will both be in school for another 2 years just getting our bachelor's degrees. Then Tim might choose to go on and get his masters. So really the next four years are going to go by pretty fast, the last four certainly did. I want to make sure I'm ready for whatever happens.

One thought that has been going through my mind lately is the Second Coming. I had a teacher state that the it's coming sooner rather then later, and certainly sooner today then it was yesterday. I laugh when I heard this, it made me realize that I need to make sure my life is what the Lord would have me do and after that nothing else matters. I know in the long run, things are going to get tough, and that might just needs to be what happens. I don't regret for one second the choices that I have made in this life, and all I can do is be the best me. That's what I want to do each and everyday. Be a good neighbor, friend, sister, daughter, wife, and mom. If I can be like Christ was then I must be doing something right. Which I know I have a long way to go to be like that always. But I have some great examples in my past and present life.
