Monday was a busy day. We're leaving town this weekend for my Grandpa's wedding and so I am trying to be good and get all my homework done before Friday. So I spent most of Monday getting done what was due that day and then moved on to the homework due Tuesday. Part of why Monday was so crazy too is we were invited to go to our bishop's place for dinner and FHE.
We left our place around 5:45 and got a little lost when we were almost there. Once there we waited for everyone to arrive. It was quite fun, getting to know people in the ward. We then had a delicious dinner: ham, baked potatoes, salad, fruit, and rolls. Both the baked potatoes and salad was make your own and they had quite a few choice on what you could put on both.
After dinner we had an FHE lesson on the Proclamation it was another good reminder of why our families are so important to us. I am so thankful for that knowledge. After the lesson we had banana splits. They were so good too.
On the way back we decided to try to go the way our bishop says he goes. We made a wrong turn somewhere. Because after a while we were in Ririe, heading to Jackson. Luckily Ririe had signs pointing us to Rigby. Once we made it to Rigby and back on the highway we were both relieved to be heading in the right direction of home.
It was a great night and we were able to talk to a few people. I feel like we're finally making some new friends in the ward, hopefully this is the case. I always feel anxious about meeting and getting to know people and never quite know when to start calling them a friend. :)
We bought a chest similar to this Saturday and Tim's in the process of staining it. It's his project he does after he's done with homework. We're planning on using it as a toy chest for Kenneth's toys, since hardly any of his toys fit in the small canvas box we have.
