Life post finding out about having Kidney stones has been crazy still. Like I said in my first post I had to go back to the doctor Monday morning. I stayed home from classes because I just didn't think I could stand sitting during them, even on pain pills.
My awesome friend Tiffany came and took me to the doctor Monday once I got the appointment set. That morning Kenneth and I had a very very lazy day or watching movies and mom trying to drink as much water as she could stomach.
It was funny at the doctors because the receptionist always ask how you're doing. I responded saying "I'm doing alright" they then noticed why I was in seeing them and responded you're not doing that good are you. I chuckled a little and said no.
They got me back to the ultrasound room pretty quick and I had to lay on my side while the ultrasound tech looked at my kidney and ureter. That was hard to do and ackward as well. But it had to be done. Then I laid on my back and they looked at where the pain was mainly at. I don't know that they saw much of anything right where it hurt, but she did right something about my ureter being dialated.
After she was done looking at those boring parts she let us look at baby boy. :) He was being stubborn though so we didn't get to see his cute profile, but it was still nice to see him and see his heart beating and nice and strong.
Then we had to wait for the doctor to come in and talk to me. Tiffany told me that she saw the ultrasound tech make three different arrows to stones, which was weird comfort to know I wasn't crazy having the pain I had.
The doctor came in and confirmed I had kidney stones, and just told me to keep taking my pain pills when needed and if they didn't help that I could call and ask for a stronger drug. He also told me to keep drinking lots and lots of water. Which I have been doing. He joked about how experts say there are three great pains in life you can experience, child birth, kidney stones, and tooth ache. Considering I have experienced those all, I'm thinking I'll take the child birth, in the future, as you get a cute baby as a reward.
I was back to classes Wednesday and have manged pretty well going with them, slowly got myself off taking the pain pills around the clock, that week and tried to only take it when I was starting to hurt again.
It's been a couple weeks sense then and I've been feeling much better!
