Camping Trip

Monday the 29th we woke up, got packed up with help from Jared and headed down to Utah. Jared stayed behind, and it was a good thing he did. He ended up getting a job right away that day and so he was better off staying behind, even though we all wish he could have come. We drove down to Liz and Joe's.
There we had lunch and then headed up to the camping spot. Kenneth and I rode in the van with Liz and Asher and mom and dad took Liz's older three kids. It was awesome and Liz and I enjoyed talking together with out worrying about who was listening. Once up to the camp site we explored our options for setting up camp and started setting it up. At one point I went do by the little creek that was next to the camp with the kids. It was lots of fun and they especially enjoyed throwing rocks into the river. We decided to have hot dogs for dinner instead of waiting for the stew mom and dad had for their dinner. It was delicious and we even roasted some marshmallows afterwards. Once the kids all went to bed Dean, Amanda, Joe, Liz, and I played games together. Joe had met us up there after work and so he played games with us before going home for the night.  Mom and dad hung out and talked before they decided to go to bed. Liz and I both were going to read to fall of sleep but ended up talking together

Tuesday we woke up and had a yummy breakfast. Then we went out and did a little geocaching and exploring of the area. We then tried to lay the younger kids down for a nap. Kenneth wanted nothing to do with taking a nap. Liz tried so many tricks, because anytime I went near he kept screaming louder and louder. He eventually went to sleep but poor Asher didn't because he was past that point. During this time I play card games with Emily, Lucas, Kiera, and Maddie. It was fun to do and they seemed to enjoy it. Afterwards we went down by the creek and played/gathered some of the dry wood that was down there. Mom and Dad made a delicious dinner and we enjoyed it a lot. We put the kids down closer to their real bedtimes and then played games again for a while. Then Liz and I read until we went to sleep.

Wednesday we woke up and had another yummy breakfast. Then packed up and headed out. We decided to let the adults shower and then to clean the kids off we went to a splash park and let them play. They weren't really that dirty but enough to need cleaned off. After the splash park we went to Amanda's parents place for dinner. We played a round of ticket to ride and then a round or two of Nerts before going home.
