Kenneth is now 19.7 lbs. According to the doctor a week ago. We don't have his official well-baby check until next week so we'll see how big he is all around. :)
This month:
Kenneth started eating more regular food for snacks
Still eats 2 jars of baby food mixed with infant cereal at dinner time, working on adding food at breakfast.
Laughs and smiles at people all the time if mom and dad are around
Had his first cold and luckily we caught his ear being inflammed not infected!
Can say mama (rarely) learned papa (Grandpa Mefford encouraged this), and is still saying dada
Talks your ear off babbling all day long.
Is a very happy baby, unless he's tired, hungry, or needs a diaper change (can't complain about that)
Can sit up in the bath tub without getting knock over (hoping to get bath toys soon)
Was wearing 6-9 months clothes but changed them out to the next size on his 9 month mark.
Discovered the xbox and loves the noise it makes when he presses the button. Needless to say we bought a new tv stand with doors.
He also just recently started clapping his hands it's the cutest thing.
Moves all around the floor by rolling and reaching for things.
Is being baby-sat by wonderful ladies, while mom attends school. Leah Welch watches him Monday's and Friday's so he gets to play with Karrin one of his girlfriends :). On Half of Mondays Kenna Adams watches him and also on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He loves Kenna and Mike. Then on Wednesdays Cortley Romrell watches him and he gets to play with Celestia another of his girlfriends. Both Karrin and Celestia are more mobile then him so I'm hoping this helps encourage him in that department.
Since I have to leave him while I go to school, he's starting to get stranger anxiety and I always have to cuddle with him when we get home before he'll let me put him down and work on homework.
The day before he turned 9 months Tim and I went out on a date and took him with us. We got a dessert which we rarely do. It was so yummy and after having shared everything else we got with Kenneth (not paying for a kids meal!). He gave us this look like I want some. So we gave him a very little bite, he liked it, but luckily it was mostly gone at that point. :)
He tasted and loved yogurt and cheese, to the point where Tim and I had to hide when we were eating it so he didn't get too much. Unfortunately his body isn't yet ready for it so we're holding off on giving him some for a while. :(
