This past weekend Tim and I had planned to go down to Utah for his cousin's wedding. Instead as mentioned in my previous post after spending a long weekend with my sister, both ended up with the stomach flu. Tim's grandparents that would be there are not in the best of health and we didn't want to risk passing the germs on to them or anyone else in the family.
Luckily Tim and his good friend Ryan already had something up their sleeves, for that weekend. They entered a Rocket building competition. They worked on their rocket for about 5 weeks. Only a couple days here and there each week.
Friday night after a delicious dinner at Gator Jacks Tim and I went over to Ryan and Brittany's apartment so the boys could finish working on their Rocket. They got it mostly done with only a few minor things needed left to do before we all were ready for bed.
Saturday morning Tim and Ryan got up bright and early to finish their rocket. We then all left to Sugar City to watch the Rocket's launch off around 9:15, arriving quicker then anticipated and had to wait until all the contestants arrived for the Rocket launch which started at 10.

For the Rocket competition the Rocket that one had to get as close to 1,000 ft up without going over. Both times the boys lunched theirs was way below that the first time it was 600 something and the second time was only 200 something. The guy who won had 985, he along with Tim and Ryan were the only ones who made their Rockets completely from scratch. Although they didn't win they were still excited because they have a material science project to do that has to involve a product that didn't work and explain why it failed.
After the competition Tim and I came home I took a nice long nap, and then we went out to the DI to browse, we came back with a diaper champ for 6 dollars that everything looks great on it :) and they're normally 30 dollars. We also found a few other things that I won't mention now because they're for crafts I'll be doing shortly. :) After the DI we hung out together and went over to our friends Greg and Becca Rowe, Tim played video games with Greg and another boy while Becca and I just chatted!
