Our Weekend of Blah

Last Friday the 21st after school, I watched Talmage, for Lindsey who was battling the stomach flu, plus being pregnant and having an 18 month old. It was lots of fun and definitely made Tim and I realize how much we need to baby/toddler-proof our place. :) After I dropped Talmage back off at home, Tim and I went to the Rowe's for dinner and hung out for a little bit, but my back was killing me, so we didn't last very long.

Saturday we slept in and it was glorious. When we woke up, we quickly got ready, and I went to a baby shower. It was fun, and I talked for a little bit with the other mama to be. After that we got boxes packed in the car and took them to the Rowe's. I then headed out with a girl from my sewing class to Idaho Falls. We went to Jo-anns and Hancock Fabrics and found lots of cute fabric there, that I'm going to have fun making. Then we came back to Rexburg. I headed back to the Rowe's where Tim had been left, and waited for dinner to be made, I took a nap because I wasn't feeling the best, and had homework to get done. Then I woke up and after a couple minutes, got sick. Not fun to do! We quickly gathered up our stuff and headed home. I spent the rest of the evening watching Gilmore Girls, until I was tired enough to try and sleep, and TRY is what I did all night long, never realized I had that much liquid inside of me. Finally at 4 almost 5 am I had a break and was able to sleep until 10.
Sunday, we both woke up at 10 and Tim being able to know I hadn't gotten sick for a while asked if I wanted to eat something. I had no desire to, I still felt nasty, but was a little thirsty so he got me some juice. I took one sip, to see how it would handle and it didn't last long. At this point I call my mom because, something didn't feel right, and I was surly starting to get dehydrated, plus throwing up blood. She said to call my doctor and get him to call me in something. So we called, and once I finally got through, the doc said oh it's just the stomach flu no big deal let it ride on out. (not my actual doc, just the on-call doc) So Tim gave me some ginger ale (thankfully we still had some) and made me drink small sips until it was gone, over several hours. Thankfully I kept it down and eventually was able to eat some toast and other things near the end of the day. Tim was a trooper and stuck with me the entire time, even rubbing my back when asked. We pretty much spent the day watching Gilmore Girls, and sadly that meant almost a whole season. I even worked on homework, since it was due, but slowly. We also had members of our ward come and check on us which was very sweet of them, hopefully they don't do this when we're gone too.

I really hope that's the last time I get sick during this pregnancy, because having a baby that's big enough to kick ones stomach when it's already upset, is not a fun feeling at all. I want to thank Tim so much for taking care of me, that day I loved him even more then before, still do!
