Philmont

These statues I painted when I went to Philmont Scout camp with my parents and little brother Jared. We went down there the summer between 8th and 9th grade, it's in New Mexico. These were so much fun to paint and mom and I got to enjoy spending time together doing something that didn't cost a lot of money to do.

While I was there during the day I got to go off and do lots of different hikes, go horse back riding, and do a rope course. It was so much fun, whenever I think back to that week my mind goes all over because it was so much fun. Part of the experience during the day for my age was being in a group of boys and girls, where as Jared was only with boys. I was the only girl in my group too, so that was interesting, luckily some of the girls that worked there were our leaders for while we were there along with some boys. :)

I hope that one day Tim and I are able to take our kids.
